D.C.S.I. Supports Health Fair

On February 11, Medical volunteers from Providence Hospital’s Residency Program provided health screening for over 170 people. They also took the opportunity to discuss the importance of early cancer screening with attendees. Outreach events such as this provide valuable experience for doctors in training as well as providing a vital service to the community at large.

Early detection of lung cancer can result in a reduction of mortality and improves outcomes in general. D.C.S.I. is dedicated to raising awareness about leveraging screening to catch lung cancer at Stage One.

Health Screeners: Medical Students Soledad Gonzalez, Dafne Cordero, Tim Santos, Andre J. Montes Colon, Yvonne Velez-Serrano, Florence Adeyamo, Jessica Flint, Eva Marie Chavez-Guzman, Amanda Feliciano, Aranice Gonzalez, Keyla Gailoza-Acevedo, and Raven Goodwin. Supervised by Internal Medicine Resident Dr. Raheem.
